The war is the thing, for sure. It utterly distorts what would otherwise be a relatively sane world. Anyone who has ever met her walks away wondering why anyone would call her "cold" or "calculating."

I've heard her speak a number of time in person, and I think she is terrific.

BACBAChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04394238321236592123noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11788678.post-3904724922905442552007-10-14T17:43:00.000-05:002007-10-14T17:43:00.000-05:00One of the unanswered questions on my mind has bee...One of the unanswered questions on my mind has been why is Hillary Clinton so very polarizing. The traits or qualities engendering that response must be extraordinary.
I am impressed that your feminist side would have liked to see a woman president. Too bad the first to come up is so scary for you. A lot can happen between now and the next inauguration, Future.
Thanks for your heartfelt comment. Since my mid 20's I have said a Female President would be better than any male, simply because "The hand that rocks the cradle" would be less likely to start wars than "The hand that holds the rifle", if for no other reason than the lack of testosterone and Macho-Egotistical absurdities.

But this isn't the Hillery of eight years ago, or even four years ago. This is a cold, calculating, evasive person that must have gotten hormone shots! She scares me to death. I honestly think that should she become President, she is the one person on the globe that could, and would, plunge this nation into an even greater blue/red divide than Bush.

As for the "ground breaking" stuff, We all got giddy (including me) about the first female speaker, and we've seen how well [sic] that has worked out. So now, I look purely at qualifications, and how they go potty, later.:)

I really don't know what to do. Assuming she is the nominee, a vote for anybody else, no matter how well intended, is a vote for the Reich Wing. But a vote for her....I really really think is a vote for trouble. The Future Was Yesterdayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06515544130113138363noreply@blogger.com
